Questions

Questions

Can loan advisors promise approval?

No. Only the lender approves a loan, and a loan advisor who promises approval misleads borrowers and puts lender relationships at risk. Phrases such as "guaranteed approval", "100% sanction" or "loan in 24 hours" are among the fastest ways to lose a careful borrower's trust.

What borrowers want instead is honest guidance:

  • Which lenders are likely to suit their profile, and why.
  • The documents each lender usually asks for.
  • Realistic timelines, with what can slow them down.
  • How your fee works, and whether the lender also pays you.
  • What happens if the application is declined.

Pages that explain these plainly tend to rank for the searches people type when they are stuck: "home loan rejected what next", "business loan without itr", "loan against property for self employed". They also give AI tools accurate facts. When someone asks "can a loan consultant help me get a home loan with a low CIBIL score", an AI tool can describe your service only if your pages explain it honestly.

If you work as a sourcing partner for regulated lenders, check their rules too. Under RBI's Digital Lending Directions, 2025, lenders must list their lending service providers on their websites (RBI Digital Lending Directions, 2025), so they have reason to watch how partners describe them.

Which searches bring a loan advisor the best enquiries?

Searches that combine a loan type with a city or a borrower situation, such as "business loan consultant in Surat", "home loan advisor in Bangalore" or "project finance consultant for a new plant". These come from people who need help, not just a rate, and they are less crowded than broad searches.

Group your list by intent:

  1. Loan type plus city: home loan, business loan, loan against property, machinery loan, each with your cities.
  2. Situation searches: self-employed, low credit score, balance transfer, rejected application.
  3. Business finance: MSME working capital, term loans, project finance, subsidy-linked loans.
  4. AI questions: "who can help me get a project loan for a factory in Gujarat" or "is a loan consultant worth it for a home loan".

Broad searches such as "home loan interest rate" are dominated by banks and aggregators, and the people typing them are often comparing rates, not looking for an advisor. Track a few to understand the market, but do not judge your progress on them.

Use your enquiry log to refine the list. After a few months, move searches that bring no qualified enquiries off the list and add the phrases clients actually used when they called. Google Visibility checks each one weekly by city.

If we work as a DSA or sourcing partner, what do RBI's rules mean for our website?

They mean the lenders you work with must disclose you on their websites, so your own pages should describe the relationship accurately and consistently. Under RBI's Digital Lending Directions, 2025, a regulated entity's website must carry details of its lending service providers and their digital lending apps, and the activities they are engaged for. (RBI Digital Lending Directions, 2025) The Directions, dated 8 May 2025, repealed the 2022 Guidelines on Digital Lending. (RBI Digital Lending Directions, 2025)

Practical steps:

  1. Ask each lender how you are listed on their site, and use the same name and description of your role.
  2. Do not use a lender's logo or brand on your site without written permission.
  3. Say clearly that the lender makes the credit decision and issues the Key Fact Statement. (RBI Digital Lending Directions, 2025)
  4. Explain how you are paid, by the borrower, the lender or both.
  5. Show your own business details: registered name, address and contact.

Borrowers increasingly check. A borrower who cannot match your name to the lender's list may assume you are not genuine, and AI tools may describe you wrongly if your site and the lender's disagree.

The Directions say much more about data and conduct; ask each lender's compliance team what they require from partners. None of this is legal advice.

Should loan advisors list the banks and NBFCs they work with?

Yes, if each lender agrees, because borrowers want to know which options you can actually offer. "We work with 30 banks" means little; a list of named lenders, with the loan types you place with each, tells a borrower whether you suit their case.

Do it carefully:

  • Get written permission before naming a lender or using its logo.
  • State the relationship accurately: empanelled partner, DSA, connector or simply familiar with its process.
  • Keep the list current, and remove lenders you no longer work with.
  • Avoid ranking lenders as "best" or implying any lender favours your clients.

Pages that combine lender and loan type work well in search. "Loan against property through NBFCs for self-employed borrowers" or "home loans for NRIs with banks in Kerala" are specific enough to rank and to be useful.

This also helps AI tools describe you. When someone asks an AI tool "which loan consultants in Pune work with NBFCs for business loans", it can only name you if a page states that clearly.

Remember the lender's side too: regulated lenders must list their lending service providers on their own websites under RBI's 2025 Directions, so your description should match theirs. Keep a copy of every permission in case a lender asks.

How do borrowers use AI tools when they need help with a loan?

They ask AI tools to explain their situation first, such as "can I get a business loan with two years of ITR" or "how to get a home loan after a rejection", and the answers rarely name a local advisor unless one has clear pages on that situation.

AI tools are part of everyday search now. Google's AI Overviews had over 2 billion monthly users in July 2025 (Alphabet, 2025), and Google's Gemini app had over 650 million monthly active users in October 2025. (Google, 2025) Borrowers who get a helpful explanation may then search for someone who can act on it, often with a city in the query.

To be part of that journey:

  • Write one page per difficult situation you handle well: low credit score, self-employed without ITR, project finance for a first plant.
  • Explain the steps, the documents and the lenders that usually suit, without promising outcomes.
  • Add a short enquiry form asking for loan type, amount and city.
  • Keep your business details consistent across your site and Google Business Profile.

AI answers vary from one run to the next, so check the same questions over weeks before drawing conclusions. Live AI Monitoring runs your chosen questions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews and records who is named.
