What it checks

AI crawlersWhether robots.txt lets ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Bing read the site, crawler by crawler.
Schema markupWhich schema types the page has, such as Organization, Product, Service or FAQ, and whether it has only general labels.
Page basicsThe title, the search description and the main heading, with their length, so they show in full.
Readable textWhether the page has enough real text for AI to understand it, not just images and buttons.
IndexingWhether the page tells search engines not to index it.
llms.txtWhether the site offers the optional llms.txt summary file.

  2. Open any website and click the icon.
  3. Read the results. Each one says what is fine and what to fix.

What it reads, and what it does not

It does nothing until you click it. Then it reads only the page in front of you, inside your browser, and sends only the website's address to webvisiblity.com. No browsing history, no other tabs, no personal data. Full privacy details

Questions

Is the extension free?

Yes. The checks run without AI, so there is nothing to pay.

What does it read?

Only the page you are on, and only when you click the extension: its title, description, main heading, schema markup and how much text it has. It sends only the website's address to webvisiblity.com to check robots.txt and llms.txt. It never reads other tabs, history or form fields.

Can I check a competitor's or a client's website?

Yes. It works on any public website you open.

Does a good result mean AI will name the company?

No. Being readable is the first step. Whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity actually name the company is what the free AI visibility check shows.
