Questions

Questions

Should recruitment firms separate employer pages from candidate pages?

Yes. Employers and job seekers search differently, want different things and convert on different pages, and mixing them leaves both unsure whether they are in the right place. Many recruitment sites are built around job listings, so they rank for candidate searches and never reach the hiring managers who pay.

Employer pages should cover:

  • The roles and industries you hire for, with seniority levels.
  • Your process and typical timelines, stated honestly.
  • How you are paid and your replacement terms.
  • Locations you cover, including multi-city or overseas hiring.
  • Compliance support for contract staffing, if you offer it.

Candidate pages should cover openings, how to apply, what happens after applying, and how you protect their data.

Keep the navigation clear: a "For employers" section with its own enquiry form, separate from job applications. Track employer searches such as "it recruitment consultants in Pune" or "staffing company for manufacturing" separately from candidate searches.

AI tools need the same separation. When an HR head asks ChatGPT "which recruitment agencies in Chennai hire for plant maintenance roles", the AI looks for pages written for employers. A site full of job ads gives it the wrong signal. Track employer searches with Google Visibility.

Which searches matter most for a recruitment firm?

Searches that combine a role or industry with a city, such as "it recruitment consultants in Hyderabad", "staffing company for manufacturing in Pune", "executive search firm for pharma" or "contract staffing services in Chennai". These come from employers with a hiring need, and they are less crowded than "recruitment agency".

Group your list:

  1. Role plus city: sales hiring, IT hiring, plant roles, finance roles, each with your cities.
  2. Industry plus service: executive search for pharma, staffing for warehousing, volume hiring for BPOs.
  3. Service type: contract staffing, payroll outsourcing, RPO, campus hiring.
  4. AI questions: "which recruitment firms in Bengaluru specialise in semiconductor roles".

Candidate searches ("jobs in Pune") bring traffic but rarely bring paying clients. Keep them off your employer tracking list.

Business buyers often shortlist with AI before contacting firms. Two thirds (66%) of the AI-using US B2B professionals Semrush surveyed in 2026 said they regularly use it to research vendors and solutions, and another 29% occasionally. (Semrush, 2026) That sample is US professionals, but Indian HR teams use the same tools.

Use your enquiry log to refine the list each quarter, keeping searches that bring mandates and dropping those that do not.

Do AI tools recommend recruitment agencies?

Yes, when asked, and they tend to name agencies with clear specialisms stated on their own pages and elsewhere. A question such as "best recruitment agency in India" returns well-known large firms. A question such as "recruitment agency for CNC machinists in Coimbatore" gives a specialist with a matching page a real chance.

The answers vary from run to run. SparkToro and Gumshoe.ai found the odds of an AI tool giving the same brand list twice were under 1 in 100, and the same list in the same order closer to 1 in 1,000. (Search Engine Land, 2026) So one test proves little; repeated checks show a pattern.

What helps a recruitment firm get named:

  • Specialism pages for each role family and industry you know well.
  • Process pages explaining how you source, screen and present candidates.
  • Placement summaries by industry, without naming clients unless they agree.
  • Consistent firm details across your site, LinkedIn and job platforms.
  • Articles on hiring questions employers ask, such as notice periods or salary benchmarking approaches.

LinkedIn presence matters, since Semrush found Google's AI Mode cited LinkedIn in nearly 15% of its responses. (Semrush, 2025)

Live AI Monitoring runs your employer questions across the main AI tools each week.

If we recruit for jobs abroad, what should our website show?

Your registration as a Recruiting Agent under the Emigration Act, 1983, and only genuine, factually correct job information. The Ministry of External Affairs' guidelines for registered Recruiting Agents ask them to issue only advertisements that are genuine and factually correct, to send copies of recruitment advertisements to the respective Protector of Emigrants, and to display the agent's name, registration number and year of registration on the office signboard. (MEA guidelines for recruiting agents)

On your website, that suggests:

  • Your exact registered name and registration certificate details, stated clearly.
  • Real vacancies only, with employer country, role, salary basis and contract terms as known.
  • A plain explanation of your process and any fees, within what the rules allow.
  • How candidates can verify you and raise complaints.

Candidates and their families are rightly cautious about overseas offers, so clear registration details are your strongest trust signal.

AI tools are asked "is this agency registered for overseas recruitment" too. A plain registration page helps them answer correctly.

Check the current requirements with the Protector of Emigrants or the ministry before publishing; this summary is general information, not legal advice. Employer-side pages for overseas clients can follow the same structure as your domestic employer pages.

How can a recruitment firm track which employer enquiries became hiring mandates?

Record how each employer found you at the first contact, then update the record when a mandate is signed and when placements are made, with the fee value. Recruitment revenue arrives in stages, so it helps to see the whole path.

A practical setup:

  1. Ask every new employer: "How did you hear about us?" Options include Google, an AI tool, LinkedIn, a referral or a job board.
  2. Record the role type, industry and city.
  3. Mark stages: enquiry, mandate signed, candidates presented, placement made.
  4. Add the fee earned per placement, and repeat mandates from the same employer.

Over a few months you will see which searches bring mandates that fill. "Contract staffing for warehouses" might bring steady volume, while "executive search for CFO" brings fewer but more valuable mandates.

Keep candidate enquiries separate. Mixing applications with employer enquiries makes your figures meaningless.

Expect some employers to arrive after an AI answer: in Semrush's 2026 survey, seven in ten US B2B buyers (71%) said an AI recommendation sends them to the vendor's own site. (Semrush, 2026) Those visits often look like direct traffic, so asking matters.

The enquiries and revenue report shows mandates and fees by source each month.
