Who buys boilers and heaters
How they search
Searches like these come from process plants and plant utility managers.
What buyers check before they call
- Capacity and pressure
- Fuel options and efficiency
- IBR compliance for steam boilers
- Emission control
- Automation and safety controls
- Service, spares and AMC
- Fuel change searches lead to rivals with clear comparisons.
- Your pages do not explain IBR compliance.
- Efficiency is not stated, so buyers cannot compare running costs.
- Service searches go to local contractors.
- A page per boiler or heater type with capacity and fuel
- Fuel comparison and running cost guide
- IBR and compliance
- Installations by industry

Questions
Do fuel change searches matter?
Yes. Plants switching fuels research options first, and a clear comparison page brings those buyers to you. Fuel change searches often lead to rivals with clear comparisons today.
Process plants in food, textiles, chemicals and pharma change fuels because of price, availability, emission rules or customer pressure. They search "coal to biomass boiler conversion", "png fired boiler", "electric boiler industrial", "briquette fired boiler" or "biomass vs png boiler cost".
What a fuel change page should include:
- Options compared: coal, biomass briquettes or pellets, agro waste, PNG, diesel or furnace oil, electric.
- Running cost example per tonne of steam, with stated assumptions.
- Conversion versus replacement: when an existing boiler can be converted and when a new one is better.
- Fuel handling and storage needs for each fuel.
- Emission considerations in plain words.
- Your relevant models with links.
Be balanced. If PNG is not available in a buyer's area, say so; if biomass needs more storage space and labour, say that too.
Fuel change projects are often large and time-sensitive. Track fuel searches with your regions, tag enquiries that mention fuel change, and note their value. These pages often bring some of the best enquiries a boiler maker gets.
Should we mention IBR?
Yes, for steam boilers, and make sure you describe the current regulations. Buyers check compliance early, and stating it plainly saves a call. Note that the Indian Boiler Regulations 2026, made under the Boilers Act 2025, were published in the Gazette of India on 1 October 2026 and replaced the Indian Boiler Regulations 1950. (King Stubb & Kasiva, 2026)
Searches like "ibr boiler 1 ton" and "ibr approved boiler manufacturer" are made by buyers who know they need a compliant steam boiler. Pages that do not explain compliance lose them.
What to explain:
- Which of your boilers are covered by the boiler regulations and which, such as some hot water generators, may not be. Only state this where you are certain.
- What you provide: design approval, manufacturing inspection, documentation for registration.
- What the buyer must do: registration and periodic inspection with the authority in their state.
- How the 2026 regulations affect existing boilers, once you have confirmed with your inspecting authority.
Keep it simple and accurate. A plant owner wants to know: "Will this boiler be approved, and what do I need to do?"
Clear compliance pages also help AI tools answer correctly when buyers ask "do I need IBR approval for a 1 ton steam boiler?". If your page explains it, the AI may cite you.
Should we publish boiler efficiency and emission figures?
Yes, with the method and conditions stated. Efficiency is how buyers compare running costs, and when it is not stated they cannot compare you. Emission figures matter more each year as pollution control boards tighten rules.
What to publish for each model:
- Thermal efficiency, stating whether it is on gross or net calorific value and at what load and fuel.
- Fuel consumption per tonne of steam or per hour at rated output.
- Emission control fitted or available: multi-cyclone, bag filter, scrubber, ESP.
- Typical emission levels for particulate matter where you have test results.
- Heat recovery options: economisers, air preheaters, condensate recovery.
Explain in plain words why efficiency matters: a few points of efficiency can mean a large fuel saving over a year in a plant running two shifts.
Be careful. Inflated efficiency claims are common in this industry, and experienced buyers know it. State conditions, show test reports where you have them, and avoid "up to" figures without context.
Google says it rewards reliable information made for people, and treats trust as the most important element. (Google Search Central) Honest efficiency data is a strong trust signal for both buyers and AI tools.
How do textile and food plants search for thermic fluid heaters?
They search by heater type, fuel and capacity, often with their process in mind, such as "thermic fluid heater for textile stenter", "hot oil heater for food fryer" or "thermic fluid heater manufacturer 10 lakh kcal". Pages organised by process match them best.
Textile processors need heat for stenters, dryers and dyeing; food plants for fryers, ovens and jacketed kettles; chemical plants for reactors. Each wants to see that you understand their process.
What to publish:
- A page per heater type with capacity in kcal/hr, fuel options, maximum temperature and efficiency.
- Process pages: textiles, food, chemicals, plywood, with typical heater sizes and examples.
- Thermic fluid guidance: fluid types, temperature limits, fluid life and replacement.
- Safety: controls, expansion tanks, fire protection.
- Installations with process and capacity.
Many of these plants are MSMEs. Udyam registrations crossed 8.7 crore as of June 2026, PIB reports. (PIB, 2026) Small textile and food units searching on a phone want clear, short answers.
Track process-specific searches separately from general heater searches. If general searches are crowded, process pages often rank faster because few makers write them.
How do we tell which boiler enquiries came from Google or AI?
Ask every enquiry how the buyer first found you, record it, and link it to the order value when you win. Boiler enquiries arrive by phone, email, consultant referral and site visit, so you need to ask; analytics alone will not tell you.
A typical path: a plant engineer searches "biomass boiler 3 ton" on Google, reads your fuel comparison page, asks ChatGPT for other makers, then calls you two weeks later from a mobile number. Your sales team sees a phone call.
A process that works:
- Website form with "How did you find us?": Google, ChatGPT or other AI, consultant, exhibition, referral, IndiaMART.
- Same question on every call and WhatsApp chat.
- Record which page they mention, where possible, such as "read the fuel comparison".
- Mark won enquiries with order value.
- Review quarterly, since boiler sales take months.
After a few quarters, you will see which channels bring orders and which bring only price checks. You may also find that buyers who read your running cost page close more often.
The enquiry log in Live AI Monitoring keeps sources and order values together and produces a monthly report, counting only what your team recorded.
