Why this industry gains most
Every project is large, buyers weigh running costs carefully and research online first, and fuel and energy changes keep creating new projects.
Your buyersWho searches for you
Searches worth tracking
Energy equipment is searched by type with a capacity, a fuel or an industry. Your starting list comes from the equipment named on your site with Google's monthly counts, and you can add any capacity you build.
- Buyers compare running costs on rival pages and never see yours.
- Your pages leave out capacity, fuel and efficiency, so they cannot be shortlisted.
- Compliance questions (such as IBR registration for steam boilers) go unanswered.
- Service and annual maintenance searches find other providers.
- A page per equipment type with capacity, fuel and efficiency
- Running cost comparisons explained plainly
- Compliance and approvals for each product
- Installations by industry
- Service and AMC plans
What your dashboard shows
- Equipment searches: where you stand each week for each type, capacity and fuel, and whether Google's AI answer cites you.
- Who leads: which makers and installers hold the top places.
- Project orders: enquiries by source, with the value of each project won.
- Content gaps: equipment and comparison pages to add first.

Questions
Do running cost pages help?
Yes. Buyers choosing between fuels or technologies search for comparisons, and a plain, honest running cost page earns their trust and often their enquiry. Today many buyers compare running costs on rivals' pages and never see yours.
Plant heads replacing a boiler, adding a chiller or considering a heat pump want to know what it will cost to run, not only what it costs to buy. Searches such as "biomass vs diesel boiler cost", "water cooled vs air cooled chiller running cost" or "heat pump vs electric geyser commercial" come from buyers doing exactly that sum.
What a good running cost page includes:
- A worked example with stated assumptions: capacity, operating hours, fuel or power price, efficiency.
- A comparison table across options, such as coal, biomass, PNG, diesel and electric for steam.
- What changes the result: load pattern, fuel availability, maintenance, water treatment.
- Capital cost ranges alongside running costs, so payback can be judged.
- A note that results vary and you will calculate for the buyer's site.
Keep it honest and conservative. A buyer who finds an inflated saving claim will distrust everything else.
These pages also give AI tools facts to quote when buyers ask "which is cheaper to run, a biomass or PNG boiler?". Track the comparison searches and tag enquiries that mention running cost.
Can solar suppliers use this?
Yes. Track searches by system type, capacity and city, such as "commercial rooftop solar", "100 kw solar plant cost" or "solar epc company in Jaipur", and see which enquiries become installations through the enquiry log.
Solar is one of the most crowded search fields in Indian B2B, with makers, distributors and installers competing for the same buyers. Price searches often lead to calculators run by rivals, and local searches find nearer installers.
How solar suppliers use the dashboard:
- Google Visibility for product searches (panels, inverters, structures), project searches (rooftop, ground mount, open access) and city searches.
- AI checks on questions like "best commercial rooftop solar companies in Pune" or "which solar panel brands are reliable in India".
- The enquiry log records each enquiry's source and, when won, the project value.
Makers and installers need different setups. A panel or structure maker tracks searches from EPC installers and distributors; an installer tracks searches from factory and building owners.
Solar enquiries are many but conversion varies widely by source. After a few months of records you can see which sources bring installations, not just calls. The industry setups include starting search lists for solar.
What do the Indian Boiler Regulations 2026 mean for boiler makers' websites?
Update every page that refers to IBR so it names the current regulations correctly. Boilers now fall under a new rulebook: the Indian Boiler Regulations 2026, made under the Boilers Act 2025, were notified on 7 August 2026, appeared in the Gazette of India on 1 October 2026 and replace the 1950 regulations. (King Stubb & Kasiva, 2026)
Buyers of steam boilers check compliance early, and searches like "ibr boiler 1 ton" or "ibr approved boiler manufacturer" are among the most specific in this field. A page still written around the 1950 regulations may look out of date to a careful plant engineer or consultant.
What to do now:
- Review all product, compliance and FAQ pages that mention IBR, and update the wording to refer to the current regulations.
- Ask your inspecting authority or adviser how existing registrations, approvals and inspections are treated under the new framework, and explain the answer plainly for buyers.
- Explain which of your boilers fall under the regulations and which (such as some small or hot water units) may not, only where you are sure.
- Show your approvals and certificates with dates.
Do not guess at transition rules. If you are unsure, say that you will confirm for each project. Clear, current compliance pages are what AI tools quote when buyers ask about IBR, so accuracy matters twice.
How do consultants shortlist boiler, chiller and cooling tower makers online?
They search by equipment type, capacity and fuel or efficiency, collect data sheets and compliance details, and check installations in similar plants before inviting quotes. Increasingly they also ask AI tools for a first list.
Utility consultants specifying a new factory or building need equipment that meets capacity, efficiency, emissions and compliance requirements, and makers who can support installation and service. Makers whose pages leave out capacity, fuel and efficiency cannot be shortlisted.
What consultants check:
- Capacity ranges and models.
- Fuel options and efficiency, with how efficiency is measured.
- Compliance: boiler regulations for steam boilers, emission norms, refrigerant types for chillers.
- Data sheets and GA drawings, downloadable.
- Installations by industry and region.
- Service network and AMC.
Gardner Business Media reports that 68% of industrial buying teams assess a list of vendors before choosing. (Gardner Business Media, 2026) For utility equipment, consultants usually build that list.
Make documents easy to download without a form, write key figures in page text, and ask consultants how they found you when they call. Tag consultant-led enquiries in your log; they often take longer but bring larger orders.
How do we win AMC and service searches for utility equipment?
Publish service and AMC pages for each equipment type with what is covered, response times and regions. Today service and annual maintenance searches often find other providers, and with them goes recurring income and the next replacement order.
Plant utility managers search "boiler amc", "boiler tube replacement", "chiller service", "cooling tower fill replacement" or "thermic fluid heater maintenance". They need reliable support and are often willing to sign annual contracts.
What to publish:
- AMC plans by equipment type: visits, checks, parts, emergency response.
- Compliance support: help with inspections and statutory requirements for boilers.
- Spares: tubes, burners, fans, fills, drift eliminators, pumps, controls.
- Efficiency audits: measuring and improving fuel or power use.
- Service regions and response times.
- Request form with equipment type, make, capacity and issue.
Servicing other makers' equipment, where you can, widens the pool. A plant whose old boiler you maintain is likely to ask you when replacing it.
Track AMC and spares searches with your cities, and tag service enquiries separately with their annual value. Many makers find service revenue is steadier than equipment sales, and search is how new service customers find them.
Do AI tools recommend energy equipment makers by fuel and capacity?
Yes, buyers ask questions with fuel and capacity in them, and AI tools name makers whose pages state those details clearly. A page that says "biomass fired steam boilers from 1 to 20 TPH, 10.54 kg/cm2 to 21 kg/cm2" can be matched; one that says "efficient boilers" cannot.
Typical questions include "biomass boiler manufacturers in India for 5 ton per hour", "air cooled chiller makers for plastic moulding" or "best thermic fluid heater companies in Gujarat".
When an AI summary appears on Google, people click ordinary results less. Pew found Google users who saw an AI summary clicked a traditional result in 8% of visits, versus 15% for those who did not. (Pew Research Center, 2025) So being named inside the answer matters more.
What helps:
- A page per equipment type with capacity, fuel, pressure or cooling range and efficiency.
- Running cost and fuel comparison pages.
- Compliance pages, current and accurate.
- Installations by industry with capacity.
- Consistent facts on directories and LinkedIn.
Ask the questions your buyers ask in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google every week and record who is named. Live AI Monitoring runs these checks for you.
