Highlights
- WebVisiblity puts real buyer questions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity and reports whether a company is named, recommended, or left out.
- Each question runs several times and results are shown as a range, since AI answers vary between runs.
- Mentiq, launched alongside, drafts the page a company is missing from its own website and checks each sentence against that site.
- A free check is available now. Paid plans start at $79 a month, and the first Mentiq page is free.
October 25, 2026 – WebVisiblity, an AI visibility tool for B2B companies, today launched tracking that shows whether the four main AI assistants name and recommend a company when buyers ask for options. The company also introduced Mentiq, an AI writer that drafts the pages a company needs to close those gaps.
The tool puts the questions real buyers ask, such as "best CRM partner for a small agency", to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity through each provider's official API, using web search where the API offers it. Results show which companies were named, which were recommended, which rivals appeared instead and which websites the assistants cited. Every answer is stored in full, with a time stamp and the model name.
The problem it addresses#
More B2B buyers now start vendor research by asking an AI assistant for a shortlist. Those answers tend to name only a few companies, and a company left out of them is unlikely to know it.
Checking by hand is unreliable. The same question can produce a different list on each run, and the four assistants rarely agree. WebVisiblity also separates being mentioned from being recommended. In one early test, a company appeared in every answer checked and was recommended in none of them.
How it works#
- Buyer questions. Questions are drafted from the company's website and its rivals, then confirmed by the company, so they reflect how buyers search rather than the company's own name.
- Repeated runs. Each question runs several times on each assistant, and results are reported as a range so that a single unusual answer does not distort the figure.
- Stored evidence. Each answer is kept in full, with date, time and model, so any figure can be traced back to its source.
- Weekly tracking. Paid plans repeat the same questions every week, which separates real movement from normal variation.
The full method is published on the How we measure page.
Mentiq, the new AI writer#
Mentiq turns a gap into a draft. Given a buyer question, it writes an answer page, a fair comparison with a named alternative, a how-to guide or a landing page.
- Sources limited to the company. Mentiq works only from the company's website and the facts the company confirms.
- Sentence-level fact check. A second pass tests each sentence against the website and rewrites or flags any claim the site does not support.
- Rule-based review. Superlatives such as "the best" or "guaranteed", numbers the site does not show and leftover placeholders are flagged, each with a one-click fix.
- Launch-ready extras. Each page includes FAQs with FAQ schema, an SEO title and summary, a ready-to-post LinkedIn update and an animated infographic based on the page's own figures.
Mentiq is included each month in the Live AI Monitoring and Radar plans and is also sold on its own in page packs.
Known limits#
- API answers can differ from what a signed-in user sees inside each app. Repeated runs and ranges reduce this effect but do not remove it.
- The tool reports what the assistants said. It does not claim to know why an answer changed, and it does not forecast traffic or sales.
Availability#
- Free check: five buyer questions on Gemini, about two minutes, with an email at the company's own domain. Run the free check.

Questions and answers
What does WebVisiblity track?
Whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity name and recommend a company when buyers ask for options, which rivals they name instead, which websites they cite, and how this changes week by week.
How is this different from asking an AI assistant directly?
A manual check gives one answer from one assistant on one day. WebVisiblity runs the questions buyers ask on all four assistants, several times each, and stores every answer as evidence.
What is Mentiq?
An AI writer from WebVisiblity that drafts answer pages, comparisons, guides and landing pages using only a company's own website, and checks each sentence against it before the page is shown.
Is there a free option?
Yes. The free check takes about two minutes, the first Mentiq page is free, and Live AI Monitoring includes a free trial.
